A case of animal theft is being investigated by the Police in Pafos district, members of which proceeded to arrest two persons last night, to facilitate the investigations.

The case was reported to the Police at around 9pm. yesterday, from an animal farm owner. As reported by the complainant, he found that animals have been missing from his property lately.

After the complaint, members of the Polis Chrysochous Police Station went to the complainant's premises for monitoring. At around 10.30pm, a vehicle was seen parked outside the property. Then the two persons, who were in the car, entered the building. The two allegedly tried to steal animals, however, as soon as they realized the presence of the police, they fled.

The police officers followed the two suspects, managing to immobilize one of them, while the second was located a short time later during examinations in the area.

They are a 42-year-old and a 22-year-old, who were arrested on warrants and taken into custody to facilitate investigations.

Polis Chrysochous Police Station is investigating the case.
