Air freshener and not caustic liquid was what 18-year-old girl received in the face last night in Kissamos, Chania, according to the police.
The attack caused a sensation as it happened after the recent incident in Piraeus while the trial for the attack with vitriol on Ioanna Paliospyrou is in progress.
The perpetrator has already been arrested who confessed to his act and handed over to the police the bottle with the deodorant he used.
This is a 56-year-old man who was arrested tonight around 10 and according to information has psychological problems, so by order of the prosecutor he was taken to the psychiatric hospital of Chania.
The 56-year-old appeared in front of the 18-year-old girl, who was walking on the street and sprayed her in the face, causing eye problems.
The girl started shouting while the perpetrator fled.
The 18-year-old was taken to the hospital where her eyes were cleaned and at 2 in the afternoon she was discharged on the condition that she return at a specific time to have a second cleaning in order not to have any problems.
After she was released from the hospital, she reported the incident to the police and after investigations, the perpetrator was located and arrested.
