The great return of Stefanos Tsitsipas is a fact. He shouted "present" in the most deafening way, throwing out of Shanghai Masters the No. 1 in the world Novak Djokovic!
Surprisingly, the top Greek tennis player of all time, bent the 32-year-old Serb with 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 and got the ticket for the semifinals of the great event.
It was his first win against No. 1 and came to celebrate in the best way possible the qualification to the ATP Finals in London, which came a little earlier with the victory of Daniel Medvedev over Fabio Fonini.
The over-formulated Russian, in fact, is his opponent in the semifinals of the Chinese Masters!
A dangerous mission for Steph, who is not only called to stop the… unstoppable finalist of the US Open (running run 27-3), but is also called to put a brake on his own negative streak, as he has never beaten the 23-year-old tennis player ( 0-4)!
For the time being, however, he is celebrating a huge success against a tennis player who seemed unbeaten in recent days and had traveled to Shanghai to defend his title.
And with the defeat, in fact, by Stefanos, he may lose at the end of the season the No.1 of the world by Rafa Nadal!
The top tennis player in the world started the game very impressively and attacked; without mercy to the young tennis player, who lost his serve with good morning (0-2) and this break judged the first set.
In the second, however, Stefanos started to read his opponent's game better, became more aggressive and had two chances to "break" him at 3-2.

The race lasted 2 hours and 2 minutes and was of very high quality from start to finish!
And the result, of course, is Stefanos' response to those who challenged him after the (normal) crisis that followed Roland Garros.
He is only 21 years old and it is not easy to manage sudden success. Steph, however, is here to stay and his qualification to the ATP Finals is just one example of what he is capable of achieving in his career.
Note that against Djokovic, the best tennis player of recent years, he has two victories in three games!
And it has defeated three members of Big 3 (Djokovic, Nadal, Federer) in 2019!
