Authorities arrested a 35-year-old man accused of five arsons in the Rizari area in the Municipality of Marathon.

The native was arrested today, August 1st, by employees of the Hellenic Police, in collaboration with employees of the Arson Crimes Directorate (DAEE) and the Investigation Department of the Nea Makri Fire Brigade, in the context of the spontaneous procedure. P.A. of N. aged 35, as a perpetrator of arson by intent and continuous disobedience to the prosecuting authorities, for five fires that occurred on land between 26 to 31 July 2018, in the area of Rizari, Municipality of Marathon, in Prefecture of Attica.
The aforementioned will be brought before the Prosecutor of the Athens Court of First Instance today.
