The job gap and pay gap between men and women in the EU remains, according to Eurostat data released.

According to Eurostat, about one in three top management positions in companies in the EU are held by women / managers (35%). Latvia has the highest percentage of women / managers (53%), followed by Bulgaria and Poland (44%), Ireland (43%), Estonia (42%), Lithuania, Hungary and Romania (41%). ), France and Sweden (40%).

By contrast, the lowest rates are in Germany, Italy and Cyprus (22%), Belgium and Austria (23%) and Luxembourg (24%).

According to Eurostat, in all EU countries the salary of women / managers is lower than that of men.

In particular, the average pay for women managers in the EU is 23,4% lower than that of men.

The highest wage gap for men is recorded in Hungary (33,7%), Italy (33,5%) and the Czech Republic (29,7%). They are followed by Slovakia (28,3%), Poland (27,7%), Austria (26, .9%), Germany (26,8%), Portugal (25,9%), Estonia ( 25,6%) and Great Britain (25,1%). The wage gap between men and women is lower in Romania (5%), Slovenia (12,4%), Belgium (13,6%) and Bulgaria (15%).
