Audi will launch next year the new generation A4, which will bring a lot of elements from the A6 and will have a wide range of engines, including a hybrid plug-in version.
The German firm is planning its new mid-size model, in order to reach the markets within the next year. From two exclusive, electronically processed photos sent by our spies, we can see that the new A4 will be very close in design to the A6, which makes it even more imposing. Thus, in the front, the bumper with the large black panels at the edges and the polygonal front grille with the new elongated luminaires, which will have LED daytime running lights, are characteristic of the new dynamic presence of the German model.
On the other hand at the rear, the third volume is lifted slightly upwards, creating a slight 4-door coupe illusion. According to information, the dimensions of the new model will be 4.701 mm. its length, 1.826 mm. the width and 1.437 mm. his height. In addition, the information indicates that it will step on a new platform "MLB" - which concerns cars with the engine along their longitudinal axis - with the rest of the features of course not different from the MQB platform.
There is no evidence for its interior, but the existence of a touch screen with infontainment system (MMI) and rich equipment, which will "consolidate" the prestige of the premium medium, is considered a given.
Under the hood now, it is expected to have the 1,4 lt. 4-cylinder TSI, delivering from 122 to 180 hp. There will also be the 2 liter TFSI of 225 hp available, while it is planned to be equipped with a hybrid plug-in set, which will combine a 4-cylinder 2 liter gasoline engine and an electric motor of 95 hp. Thus, in this version the A4 will be able to cover about 50 km, with purely electric drive.
