Queues have formed at gas stations in the occupied territories, with two companies, Altınbaş and K-Pet, announcing that they will stop selling fuel and gas as of today.
The two companies announced that under the current conditions they are making loss-making sales and as soon as their gas stations are empty, they will stop selling. T / C websites note that in the last 3 days there is difficulty in finding 95 octane gasoline.
The president of the gas station association, Levent Ciagdal, said that after the last increase in fuel prices, TL's exchange rate had fallen again and fuel suppliers were calling for a new increase in sales prices. It is necessary, he added, with the increase in the dollar.
He noted that compared to the Greek Cypriot side, the price of gasoline is still cheaper in the occupied territories, while the price of milk and meat is cheaper in the free areas.
The selling price of the 11 kg gas is also reported to start at 107 TL but again the two companies consider that "they are selling at a loss" and stopped the sales asking for a new increase.
