Karagiannis: The virus has left the community-Why don't the T / Cs give information?

Coronavirus

The cases in Cyprus have been zero for quite some time, however, due to repatriations, there is a small number of cases, said Moriakos Iologos, Petros Karagiannis, speaking on SIGMA's show "Protoselido".

As he said, it seems that the virus has left the community, but not from Cyprus.

Speaking about the teleconference of the bi-communal Technical Committee for Health that took place with the participation of epidemiologists on both sides, with the Turkish Cypriot side not yet submitting an epidemiological report, he noted that a constructive discussion took place.

Despite the 15-day margin, he added, the epidemiological data were not provided and this left us somewhat suspicious.

He added that there may be a weakness in processing data like us, or they may not have all the data if they did not keep a lot of details and therefore feel a weakness in presenting it to us so as not to be ridiculed, he said.

As for roadblocks, he said the issue was discussed, but more attention was paid to air traffic.

We asked, he said, how the countries were categorized, where Turkey was placed and what the security measures would be, and we were told that Turkey was in category A and noted that everyone would be required to take tests without exception before they arrived.

As for vaccines, he said that very soon great results are expected and the production of one or two vaccines may begin.
