A man who committed suicide during a clash with police in Los Angeles, was convicted last year of breaking into Sandra Bullock's house and obsessively monitoring the actress. The announcement was made by the lawyer of the Oscar-winning actor.
Joshua James Corbett did not appear in court as he should have last month and was locked in his home on Friday when police attempted to issue an arrest warrant.
He would appear in court to prepare his progress report on the suspension he has received since being convicted in the Bullock case.
Special forces officers were called to the scene after Korbet threatened to kill the officers who went to his home. The 42-year-old was found dead five hours later at his home in the La Crescenta neighborhood. The death was reported as a suicide by the forensic service.
