Today's Monday is not like all the previous ones as it is considered the most melancholy day of the year and is known as Blue Monday.
More specifically, the third Monday in January is theoretically the worst day of the year.
It is said that on this day, people are overwhelmed with negative emotions more than any other day.
Blue Monday's theory is derived from a mathematical equation, [W + (Dd)] xTQ / MxNA, born in the mind of academic Dr. Cliff Arnall, which combines factors such as weather (W), debts (D), monthly salary (d), time spent in the Christmas holidays (T), low level of mobilization (M), etc.
The first Blue Monday in history was on January 25, 2005.
Essentially, Blue Monday marks the day when people realize that they have fallen out of their schedule and goals and thus become melancholy.
However, the majority of the scientific community does not accept this theory, characterizing this equation as scientifically invalid.
To go against the melancholy of Blue Monday, we can set new goals and dedicate time to something that really pleases us!
