On Thursday night, the US President attended a formal reception in his honor given by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom with about 150 businessmen, politicians and diplomats invited to Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill, in Oxfordshire.

He will then spend the night with his wife at the home of the US ambassador in west London.

This is Donald Trump's first visit to Britain since his election in 2016. It is noted that the police operation to protect the American president is the largest in Britain since the London incidents in August 2011.

LONDON

Shortly before his arrival, President Trump said Britain was in turmoil over Brexit, commenting that it was up to the people to decide if Theresa May would remain prime minister.

"Unwanted" for some the American President

"Donald Trump you are not welcome" was one of the slogans shouted by hundreds of protesters, who gathered near the gate of the Winfield House, the residence of the US ambassador in Regency Park, where the American leader will spend the night with Me.

Equipped with pots, whistle-loudspeakers and rattles, they made as much noise as possible to denounce Trump's immigration, climate change or equipment policies.

"How many children did you put in cages today?" The protesters shouted, referring to the children who have been detained by the American authorities after entering the USA illegally. During the protest, the organizers heard an audio document with the cries of small immigrants.
