Nine people were injured in France during a fireworks show in the south of the country.
Several thousand people gathered on Collioure beach to enjoy the spectacle, Russia Today reports, but the festive mood did not last long.
According to the same source, there was an explosion at the point from which the fireworks were fired, as a result of which these and other flammable materials started falling on the gathered people.
Scenes of panic prevailed at the spot, with those present screaming, as can be heard in the footage.
In a video posted on social media, the moment when the fireworks started to be fired in all directions is recorded.
Three of the nine injured had to be treated for burns.
The French authorities have launched an investigation to fully investigate the circumstances under which the accident occurred.
