A 15-year-old German woman was fatally attacked yesterday with a knife by an Afghan interlocutor in a shop in the area of Kennel, in the Rhineland-Palatinate.
According to a statement from the prosecutor's office and the police, the two teenagers were seen fighting and then the young man attacked the 15-year-old with a knife. The perpetrator was arrested after the intervention of passers-by.
Shortly afterwards, the girl, who had meanwhile been taken to hospital, succumbed to her injuries.
According to the local newspaper Die Rheinpfalz, it is not known whether the 15-year-old Afghan, who will appear before the Prosecutor today, has applied for asylum.
