It took seven whole years to complete the largest sea bridge in the world. It is 55 km long and will connect China with Hong Kong and Macao.
The Mammoth Bridge, which will be inaugurated on July 1, 2018, will reduce travel time from Hong Kong to the Chinese city of Zhuhai from three hours to just 30 minutes.
Reports state that 420 thousand tons of steel were used for its construction, which would be enough to build 60 Eiffel Towers, while it has six lanes and four tunnels along its entire length. Specialists from 14 countries collaborated on the construction of the bridge.
More than $ 15 billion was spent on the project, and it is estimated that about 40 vehicles will pass through it daily.
