The case of a hunter who accidentally killed his 18-year-old son, as he thought he was a deer, has caused a stir in Russia!
The tragic incident took place in the Khanty-Mansiysk region of northern Russia last Thursday. The case, however, began to take shape today in the Russian press, as the forensic examination was published and at the same time many environmental and animal welfare organizations, expressed strong protests against uncontrolled hunting in Russian territory, with tragic, in some cases, results and the hunters themselves.
The father told police he saw a movement in the forest and shot, believing it to be a deer. The 18-year-old ended up on the spot, with a bullet wound, as announced by the medical examiner who examined him.
The father faces more than two years in prison, while the investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy continues.
