A fine of 26,000 euros was imposed last night on a 24-year-old, in connection with a poaching case.
The 24-year-old was spotted by members of the Thera Service, driving a car on a rural road in the area of Kokkinotrimithia, around 8.00 on Tuesday night, after information about shootings in the area. In a subsequent search of his car, members of the Thera Service located a killed hare, which they took as evidence and then handed over to the local Police Station.
The 24-year-old also went to the local police station, from which the members of the Police received a relevant testimony and then an extrajudicial fine of 25,000 euros was issued against him for the crime of killing or arresting prey in illegal hours for hunting and extrajudicial fine of 1,000 , for the offense of possession of prey without possession of a hunting license.
The Kokkinotrimithia Police Station continues the examinations.
