A 15-year-old man opened fire inside his school in a Michigan town. killing three students and injuring six others, announced the local police.
The perpetrator, a student at Oxford High School, was arrested but gave no explanation for his act, said Michael McCabe, a local police spokesman.
"I can tell you that he fired several times," McCabe added, adding that he used a semi-automatic pistol.
Police are continuing their search of the school premises, which was cordoned off when the shooting began, about ten minutes before 1pm local time.
