Members of Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), an extremely violent gang founded decades ago by immigrants from El Salvador and whom US President Donald Trump has pledged to eliminate, brutally murdered a man by killing more than 100 an area near Washington, police said.
Miguel Λngel Lπpez Abrego, who is said to be a member of the gang and managed to deliver the first blow to the victim — whom the authorities have not yet named — has been remanded in custody without any possibility of being released on bail, ordered by a judge Montgomery County.
The victim's body was found Sept. 5 in a makeshift grave dug in a park in Wheaton, Maryland. According to Montgomery Community Media, a local news organization that owned documents from the case file, the victim was beheaded, while gang members removed his heart from his body and threw it into the grave.
"During the investigation, police" received information that the murder was committed by members of the MS-13 gang, including Lopez Abrego, "who was charged," the county police department said in a statement. on Tuesday.

Mara Salvatrouca ("the gang from El Salvador") is considered one of the toughest criminal organizations operating in the United States. It was formed in the 1980s, initially to protect immigrants from El Salvador against other gangs on the streets of Los Angeles. Gradually, it spread to almost all of Central America.
Republican President Donald Trump, who says fighting crime in the United States is one of his priorities, has repeatedly referred to the gang to justify its tough stance on law-abiding immigrants and its announcement that it will a wall on the border with Mexico.
