Dozens of Palestinians protesting on the border with Gaza were injured by Israeli fire and tear gas, while several thousand demonstrators took part in the demonstrations on the border.
Most of the protesters today did not approach the security fence and remained at a distance of about 800 meters. However, at one point, dozens of young people walked a distance of 300 meters and set fire to tires. At the same time, east of the city of Gaza, young people went right next to the fence and tried to remove it.
Israeli soldiers used tear gas and live ammunition.
At least 109 protesters were injured, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. Doctors point out that at least 10 of them were injured by real bullets.
Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and the head of the organization in Gaza, Yahya al-Sinwar, took part in the demonstrations, causing applause from the people.
"The return march is not over. It may not be so massive but we are moving on, "said Ali, a protester who hid his face in a T-shirt and marched east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Since the start of the protests on March 30, 113 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire.
