"Dennis": The new cold wave that will affect Europe

Apart from the Czech Republic and Poland, Britain is being severely affected by the bad weather and is expected to face a new cold wave and heavy rain this weekend, as "Denis" comes after "Chiara".

The last few hours have seen chaos on Britain's air network as hundreds of flights have been canceled. However, there were also cancellations of ferry services.

The new deterioration of the weather is related to the storm "Dennis", which will succeed Chiara, according to meteorologists, according to the British newspaper "Daily Mail".

In Ireland, which is on orange alert due to the risk of flooding in coastal areas, 10 thousand homes, farms and businesses were left without electricity. But in France, in the north of the country, many areas were put on orange alert and residents were urged to avoid the beaches.

The storm "Chiara", which for the Germans is called "Sabine", also hit Merkel's country, affecting the railway transport and leaving behind several injured, among them three seriously.

The German railway service Deutsche Bahn announced delays in train services and many flights were canceled, including 420 in Munich, 190 in Frankfurt and 150 in Düsseldorf and Cologne.

Belgium is also on orange alert where about 60 flights to and from Brussels have been canceled. In the capital, trees were uprooted and buildings were damaged without any injuries.
