The composition of Turkey's new Council of Ministers will be announced next Monday by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Erdogan even stated that the Council of Ministers will consist of non-parliamentary ministers.

"As chairman of the new executive branch, I will announce the composition of the cabinet at 9 a.m. on Monday. God willing (the new cabinet) will meet for the first time on Friday," he told the Justice and Development Party.

Under the changes, the post of Prime Minister will be abolished, so that Erdogan will be able to choose the persons for the Council of Ministers, control the Ministries and remove the civil servants, without having to get the approval of the Parliament. Referring to these changes, he said:

"With the new power given to us by the new presidential system, we will ensure faster and stronger results."

It is recalled that Erdogan won 52,5% of the vote in the June 24 presidential election, a percentage that secured his re-election.

According to Erdogan, the new Council of Ministers will be sworn in on Saturday (July 14th).
