The Titanic has always had a strange fascination with people around the world. So six years ago, Australian billionaire Clive Palmer wanted to build a replica of the Titanic. Although then the project failed, today it is revived and (until proven otherwise) passengers will be able to travel with the "Titanic II" to 2022.

The shipping company Blue Star lines plans in 2022 to send a ship similar to the "Titanic" on its maiden voyage - exactly 110 years after the shipwreck in 1912.

Even the four famous chimneys will be on the new ship, although the "Titanic II" will no longer run on coal but on diesel. Palmer announced in 2012 that he intended to build a $ 500 million replica of the Titanic, and the ship should have been ready by 2018. But at the time, Palmer abandoned his plan due to financial problems.

Now the shipbuilding should be completed in 2022. In London, Palmer unveiled the details of the new ship, with nine decks and 840 rooms, which will be able to accommodate 2400 passengers and 900 crew members. The ship will mainly cover the route of the North Atlantic while in the summer it will be regularly directed to other destinations, such as Dubai.

The "Titanic" sank on its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York on April 14, 1912. It was then the largest naval investment in the world and sank after hitting an iceberg in the North Atlantic. The 1515 of the 2000 people on board drowned in Atlantic waters.
