Honduras: Passenger crashes into cockpit and damages

A passenger crashed into the cockpit of an American Airlines passenger plane at an Honduran airport while the boarding of the people to be transported to Miami, USA, was underway, the ABC News television network reported on Tuesday.

According to ABC News, the unidentified passenger invaded the cockpit, damaged the controls and tried to jump out of the plane window, but was stopped by the pilots.

He was arrested by the local authorities.

No injuries were reported.

The Boeing 737-800, which had 121 passengers and six crew members, was stuck due to damage to its controls at Ramon Vigieda Morales International Airport in San Pedro Sula, according to the network.

Passengers will board other aircraft to be able to reach their destination.
