The plane, owned by VietJet Airlines, was departing from Taipei, Taiwan, bound for Bangkok, Thailand, when the extraordinary event occurred.

When Sararnrakskul, who was informed that a passenger was about to give birth to her baby in one of the plane's toilets, took off his belt and, according to the Viral Press agency, assumed the role of an obstetrician.

Paramedics were waiting for the plane when it landed in Bangkok, Thailand to provide first aid to the mother and newborn.
