Scientists from the local office of the World Health Organization (WHO) have made a very worrying prediction for the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean, referring to the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic.
In particular, the WHO Office for the Eastern Mediterranean estimated that by the end of December 2021 more than 17 million people will fall ill, while deaths from the pandemic will reach 314.000.
This Office refers to countries in the Middle East, North Africa, the Horn of Africa and Central Asian countries.
