Putin: Moscow ready to help North and South Korea cooperate

President Vladimir Putin told his South Korean counterpart Moon Jae-in that Russia was ready to facilitate cooperation between North and South Korea, the Kremlin announced today.

In a telephone conversation with Moon, Putin said Russia was ready to help with infrastructure and energy programs on the Korean Peninsula.

On Friday, Moon and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un hugged after pledging to work for the "complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula."
