A strong earthquake measuring 6,0 on the Richter scale shook southeastern Iran today, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The quake, which was initially estimated to have a magnitude of 6,3, focused on an area 58 kilometers northeast of the Iranian city of Kerman (821.000 inhabitants) and occurred at 04:32 (Greek time), according to the same source.
The epicenter was reported below the ground, at 10 miles (XNUMX km), according to the US Geological Survey.
