"The road that was found is already known because corpses are being" sown "there."
The discovery of the body of the football player, who was almost beheaded, while the perpetrators had cut off his genitals, caused shock in Brazil.
Daniel Correa Freitas was found dead by passers-by in the bushes on Saturday night. According to the newspaper Band B, the perpetrators had tortured him.
"It simply came to our notice then that this was a very violent situation. "He had two deep cuts in his neck, he was almost beheaded and his genitals had been amputated," a police officer told the newspaper. "The road found is relatively deserted and is already known because corpses are" sown "there," he added.
From the first estimates it seems that the 24-year-old was killed and then dragged for about 30 meters. Daniel Correa Freitas started his career in Botafogo and 3 years ago he was transferred to Sao Paulo. For the last two years he played on loan first in Coritiba and then in Ponte Preta and Sao Bento.
