A military plane has crashed in the western Turkish province of Izmir during a training flight, according to the Turkish Armed Forces.
Both pilots were killed in the crash, according to initial reports.
The SF-260D training aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from Cigli Airbase at around 11am (local time) on Friday.
The wreckage of the aircraft was found about 3 kilometers north of the military installation. The causes of the crash are being investigated.
Firefighters, ambulances, and search and rescue teams are rushing to the scene.
The SF-260 is an Italian-designed two-passenger light aircraft widely used by the military for training flights.
Last month, three people were killed in another crash by a Turkish military training aircraft in the country's southern province of Isparta.
