Turkey, Russia and Iran will discuss developments in Syria at a summit on November 22 in the Russian resort of Sochi, according to Turkish media.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Vladimir Putin and Hassan Rohani will discuss "the latest developments in Syria and the region" at the summit, the state-run Anatoli news agency reported.

Russia, Turkey and Iran are sponsoring an agreement aimed at easing fighting to prepare the ground for a political deal to end the Syrian conflict, which has killed more than 330.000 people and displaced millions since March. of 2011.

The Astana agreement, on behalf of the negotiating capital of Kazakhstan, has allowed the creation of "de-escalation zones" that provide for an end to hostilities. In this context, Turkey has deployed troops in the rebel-held province of Idlib (northwestern Syria).
