The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Theresa May insists on her proposal for Brexit, despite the resignations of Ministers that took place today.

In particular, Theresa May defended the proposal in the House of Commons adopted by its Cabinet for future trade and customs relations with the EU and thanked the resigned Ministers, David Davis and Boris Johnson, for their contribution to the government.

The British Prime Minister said that her proposal is functional and prevents the possibility "Disagreement" with the EU, which would harm the country's interests.

He also said that the United Kingdom was leaving the customs union and the single market, ending the free movement of European citizens on British soil.

Theresa May categorically rejected the proposal of the Leader of the Scottish National Party in the House of Commons, Ian Blackford, to remain in the single market and customs union, stating:

"The answer is an absolute and unequivocal 'no'."
