He spat in her face because he moved away from her due to a coronavirus

According to the New York Post, the incident took place in an expensive Italian market in Philadelphia, USA.

Shop customer Alexis Danilo told US television that she was shopping when 27-year-old Jacqueline McBride got too close to her.

"I walked away from her," Danilo said. "It simply came to our notice then. He insulted me and told me that he does not have the disease ".

I was shocked and said something like "This is rude, we are in the middle of a pandemic". And she replied "We fight even now if you want", took off her mask and spat in my face ".

Fortunately, Danilo wore a mask and gloves and the staff helped her wipe her face immediately.

According to police, McBride also spat at an employee during an altercation at the same store the previous day.

The mayor of Philadelphia called the incident "unconscious" and the woman's behavior "criminal".

"We hope the police will locate her and put her somewhere where she can not spit on anyone," he said. "I think people are starting to lose a little bit of their composure and logic and that is understandable, but it is an attack. "It's violent to deliberately want to make others sick."

Danilo, meanwhile, said she has been placed in voluntary solitary confinement as a precautionary measure and is currently well.
