Peruvian police seized 500kg of cocaine to be transported to France and arrested two people, the drug prosecution service said.

A Peruvian and a Colombian were arrested during the operation, which was carried out by police in the San Martin Pores district of Lima, General Loisa added. They intended to take the drugs out of the country, possibly "in containers" that would be transported by ship, the officer said.
