Detection and confiscation of 16 kilograms of cannabis after a search of the luggage of a 21-year-old woman, who arrived today shortly before noon at Larnaca airport.
According to the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, as part of the actions taken by the Anti-Narcotics Service, in cooperation with the Customs Authorities to identify people importing drugs into Cyprus, a 21-year-old young woman was arrested today shortly before noon at Larnaca airport.
As reported, after an investigation carried out in the luggage of the girl who arrived by flight from a foreign country, it is said that approximately 28 kilograms of cannabis were found in a total of 16 packages.
The young woman was arrested and tomorrow she is expected to be brought before the Larnaca District Court for the issuance of a detention order.
The case is being investigated by the Larnaca District Committee of YKAN.
