The resignation of the government of Theresa May was submitted to Britain by the Undersecretary of Small and Medium Enterprises, Andrew Griffiths, after the revelations made by the "Sunday Mirror" newspaper about the love messages he sent to two young women.

The ministry confirmed that the 48-year-old deputy minister had resigned "for personal reasons".

According to British reports, Andrew Griffiths, who is married, sent nearly 2.000 messages over a period of three weeks to a 28-year-old waitress and a friend, whom he had contacted through social networking sites.

"I am wanted," he wrote in one of the messages.

The politician also paid hundreds of pounds to the two young women to send him erotic photos and videos. In fact, in a message, he claimed that he "had the right" after working long hours in parliament.
