The UK Minister for Transport, Grand Saps, has confirmed that a ten-day isolation requirement will be lifted on July 19 for fully immunized Coronavirus residents returning from countries on the orange travel list, such as Cyprus and most European destinations.

From the same day, the official government recommendation to avoid travel to the "orange" countries will be lifted.

Those who have received the second dose of coronavirus at least 14 days before their trip are considered fully vaccinated.

Minors will also be exempted from the quarantine obligation.

The quarantine obligation will be replaced by the obligation to perform a diagnostic test before the return flight and a molecular test on the second day after arrival in England. No further testing will be required on the eighth day after arrival.

Initially, the new measure only concerns England, although there will be discussions with the decentralized governments of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Also, in the first phase the quarantine obligation for fully vaccinated is lifted only for those who have been vaccinated by the national health system NHS, although the government intends in time to extend the measure to foreign visitors.
