A 70-year-old woman was in danger on Makenzi beach in Larnaca and was rescued by lifeguards.
In a post on MKD, the Pancyprian Committee of Professional Beach Lifeguards states that "the lifeguards at Makenzi Beach in Larnaca responded to a new incident today, Wednesday, August 4th. At around 07.30 in the morning, the lifeguards helped an elderly woman aged 70, who lost her balance and fell into the water ".
It is added that "the lifeguards, after transporting the woman ashore, proceeded to provide first aid, while oxygen was used after the 70-year-old had absorbed a quantity of water. An ambulance was called to the scene to transport the woman to Larnaca General Hospital for further treatment. "
