"A 75-year-old man was pulled out dead at noon on Monday 30/8 by the lifeguards of LEM 8 and despite the efforts to bring him back to life, this was not possible.
A civilian boat located the unfortunate man at around 12:45, a few meters from the shore and at a distance of about 500 meters from the LEM 8 Lifeguard Tower.
The citizens immediately alerted the lifeguards who arrived with full equipment and proceeded with a process of cardiorespiratory resuscitation and use of a defibrillator.
Despite the efforts of lifeguards, the man did not recover.
An ambulance, called to the scene from the first moment, picked up the unfortunate man.
