The Minister of Education, Prodromos Prodromou, and the organization of Secondary Education Teachers (OELMEK) discussed in a teleconference yesterday (09/03) the planning that will be followed regarding the organization of the Pancyprian Examinations.
According to the president of OELMEK, Themis Polyviou, the Pancyprian exams for this year will be held from May 24 to June 20.
Speaking to SigmaLive, Mr. Polyviou clarified that their dates were announced yesterday by the competent minister, while it was agreed that the syllabus of the exams will be announced by the first week of April at the latest.
"The subject matter will be reduced and is expected to be announced in the coming weeks," he said.
It is noted that teachers and the Minister of Education agreed that there is currently no question of extending the school year.
