The administration of the University of Cyprus decided to suspend the operation of the School of Medicine for 48 hours.
As the Rector, Tassos Christofidis, states in a twitter post, the decision was made as the results of members of the School are expected, who may have come in contact with the 64-year-old doctor.

Mr. Christofides also states that the University of Cyprus is monitoring the developments and is ready to take more drastic measures to deal with the crisis.
He also emphasizes that "panic is the worst counselor. "With composure, personal responsibility and observance of hygiene rules, we can protect ourselves and those around us."
