Scheduling appointments for vaccination against her gradually begins COVID-19 of the age group of 40-49, in the context of the implementation of the National Vaccination Plan. Specifically, from Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at 7:30 in the morning, until Thursday, April 22, at 8 pm, 16,000 vaccination appointments will be available for people aged 49 and 50 only. The vaccinations will be done with the available licensed vaccines in the Vaccination Centers all over Cyprus.
As of April 19, a total of 214,675 vaccinations (24,4 doses per 100 inhabitants) were given, of which 156,682 (17,8%) were for the first dose and 1 (57,993%) were for the administration of of the two doses. At the same time, the vaccination started and continues in the closed structures, and until yesterday, 6,6 people were vaccinated with the first dose in the Central Prisons and in the Temporary Accommodation Center "Pournara". Vaccination in closed structures will continue in the coming weeks. In relation to the vulnerable groups, the 1nd dose was gradually started to be given to those who were vaccinated as a priority as vulnerable.
