The Ministry of Health with a statement reminds that according to the decision of the Council of Ministers on December 21, 2021, all employees who have completed their vaccination program against Covid-19 with two doses for two-dose vaccines and one dose for single-dose vaccine, or hold a disease certificate (180 days) are required to submit a negative rapid antigen test (rapid test) lasting 7 days.

• The inspections by the competent services will start on December 29.

• Each organization, company, company, can set a specific day on which the employees will be checked for the weekly rapid test.

• The control of the people who undergo rapid test on a weekly basis, will be done by displaying a text message or presenting their result in printed form.

• For workers (18+) who have not received any dose of the vaccine, the test continues through the CovScan Cyprus application for a 72-hour PCR and a 48-hour Rapid test.

• Employees who received the booster / 3rd dose of vaccine are excluded from checking and presenting a negative test.

• For vaccinated persons or persons who have been ill with COVID-19 or persons excluded from the vaccination for medical reasons, the rapid test is provided free of charge at the sampling points. This also applies to people who have received at least one dose of the vaccine and have not had the period required to take the second dose.

• It is clarified that if a transmission chain is recorded in a workplace, all employees without exception will be examined.
