Two suspected cases of coronavirus were detected in passengers of an aircraft that arrived last night at Larnaca airport from Bucharest.
According to information from KYPE, the aircraft arrived at Larnaca airport around 21.55 last night carrying 74 passengers and crew.
During the examination of the passengers by the thermal cameras of the airport, it was found that a Romanian couple had a high fever, as a result of which they were isolated in a special area at Larnaca airport, until the arrival of an ambulance, which transported them to Nicosia General Hospital.
Samples were taken from both individuals in order to perform the necessary tests for coronavirus.
The remaining passengers and crew of the aircraft filled in the special forms and were examined by health professionals, who instructed them to put themselves in self-restraint for 14 days.
