Actor and musician George Christodoulidis passed away at the age of 53

The actor was battling ALS

Cypriot musician and actor George Christodoulidis passed away on Saturday at the age of 53, after a battle with ALS (the disease from which the scientist Stephen Hawking also suffered). 

He was born in Paphos in 1968 and studied at the Drama School of the National Theater, where, among others, he had fellow students Alkinoos Ioannidis, Tony Dimitriou and Stella Fyrogenis.
In recent years he has been suffering from motor neurone disease.

The news of his death became known from the Union of Cypriot Actors:

"With deep sadness we say goodbye today to our favorite actor and musician George Christodoulidis. George was born in Paphos in 1969. He studied at the School of National Theater. He participated in many series such as "Ten little Mitsos", "Our Father", "In the constellation of the tie", "pink bubble". He uploaded, composed and participated in very special musical and theatrical performances such as "Cabaret", "Igognito", "Gesthimani" etc. A special and beloved man who left his mark on the cultural development of Cyprus and Greece.
