As announced by the Legal Service, the meeting, which takes place at the suggestion of the Pancyprian Medical Association, will be attended by the Minister of Health, Michalis Hadjipandelas, the leadership of the Police and the Board of the Pancyprian Medical Association.

Police Spokesman Christos Andreou had told KYPE that the Police were investigating three other pieces of information related to false vaccinations by doctors after the arrest and seven-day detention of a 53-year-old doctor in Larnaca, who was reportedly with false vaccination certificates.

The two information under investigation concern incidents in Paphos and the third specific incident in Limassol.

The 53-year-old doctor who was arrested has been placed in a seven-day detention by a decree of the Larnaca District Court in order to facilitate the police examinations in connection with a case of a fake vaccination certificate.

According to the Police, there is evidence that provides a reasonable basis for suspicion that he is involved in a case involving 6 offenses of conspiracy to commit a crime, forgery of an official document, circulation of a forged document, securing registration with false representations, other negligent acts and causing bodily harm. violations of the General Health System Law.

The offenses are alleged to have been committed between April 26 and August 6, 2021.

The suspect interrogated denies any involvement in the offenses under investigation.
