Members of the OPE of Nicosia, in cooperation with officials of the Customs Department, yesterday carried out a coordinated operation in the province of Nicosia, between the hours of 7.30:10 p.m. – XNUMX p.m., after evaluating information about illegal possession and trading of duty-free tobacco products.
During the operation, the home and vehicle of a 36-year-old man, the vehicle of a 32-year-old woman and the property of a 60-year-old man were searched.
Inside the premises, 399 packs containing a total of 7,980 cigarettes and 1,900 grams of tobacco were located and confiscated and the 60-year-old man was arrested by the Customs Department officials.
Afterwards, the case was settled out of court with the payment of the sum of 4.500 euros by the 60-year-old.
