A total of 3,332 inspections and 121 complaints against drivers of vehicles and pedestrians on a pan-Cypriot basis, the Police proceeded from 6 yesterday afternoon until 6 this morning, in the context of the compliance checks with the decree banning unnecessary travel.
A spokesman for the Police Headquarters told KYPE that 1,266 inspections and 60 complaints were carried out in the province of Nicosia, 650 inspections and 29 complaints in Limassol, 582 inspections and 11 complaints in Larnaca, 210 inspections and 14 complaints in Paphos, 270 inspections in Famagusta and 4 complaints and in Morphou 203 checks and 3 complaints. Also, the Headquarters Traffic Police and the MMAD carried out 131 and 20 checks respectively, without making any complaint.
