A new traffic accident occurred on Wednesday night (23/02) on the road Liopetri - Frenarous.
According to the Police, the accident occurred around 11:45 pm when, under conditions that are being investigated, a vehicle hit a stake.
A 39-year-old woman was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, who was involved in a car collision with her car, shortly before midnight, in the province of Famagusta. Around 11.45pm, under conditions that are being investigated, the 39-year-old lost control of the car, which was leading on the road Liopetriou - Frenarous, with the result that it hit a stake.
There were no injuries from the collision.
During the investigation of the accident, the 39-year-old underwent a preliminary alcohol test with a positive result. He was taken to a police station to undergo a final alcohol test, without, however, giving a satisfactory expiration sample. The 39-year-old was therefore charged for later summons before a court.
