Cyprus airports are reopening today following measures to curb coronary heart disease

Larnaca and Paphos airports are reopening today, as part of the third phase of easing the restrictive measures taken due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The airports were closed by a decree of the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works for a ban on flights to and from Cyprus, which entered into force at three in the morning on March 21, 2020.

According to information from KYPE, today there will be five arrivals and five departures to and from Larnaca airport, with the first flight of the Aegean airline departing at around eight in the morning to Athens.

The first flight to land in Larnaca will be operated by Israir Airlines, departing from Tel Aviv around 10.15 am.

The Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Giannis Karousos, will go to the airport at around 10 in the morning to receive the first passengers who arrive in Cyprus after the ban on flights to and from the island.

This will be followed by the arrival of two flights from Athens at 12.10 and 18.10, one flight from Sofia at 18.20 and one flight also from Athens at 23.10.

As for the departures at 11.20, a flight to Tel Aviv will take off from Larnaca airport, at 14.00 to Athens, at 19.00 to Sofia and at 19.30 a flight to Athens will depart.
