The reopening of passenger boats and water sports companies is regulated by a decree of the Minister of Health, Konstantinos Ioannou. The decree also allows the resumption of horse racing meetings without spectators, from June 3.

According to the decree of the Minister of Health, the arrival in the Republic of persons regardless of nationality, for purposes of public works or for other professional obligations is allowed, with the approval of the relevant Minister / Deputy Minister to the President, to whom a request is submitted, and who must document the necessity of arrival of the persons in question in the Republic and inform the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works.

It is provided that the arrival of these persons in the Republic is allowed if the period of stay in the Republic does not exceed 4 days.

In these persons, it is reported, a molecular examination is performed for the disease COVID-19, unless they present a negative molecular test certificate for the disease in question, valid 72 hours in advance.

Until the result of the examination is issued, these persons remain in places of mandatory isolation, it is added.

If people are positively diagnosed with the disease COVID-19, the decree continues, they remain in a state of compulsory isolation and the medical protocol of the Ministry of Health is followed.

These persons, it is noted, "take precautionary and self-protection measures in the area where they live".

If the period of stay in the Republic exceeds 4 days, then the said persons are subjected to a molecular examination for his illness COVID-19, unless they present a negative molecular test certificate for that disease valid 72 hours in advance.

Until the result of the examination is issued, these persons remain in places of mandatory isolation.

If diagnosed positively in his disease COVID-19, remain in a state of compulsory isolation and the medical protocol of the Ministry of Health is followed, it is supplemented.

If the result of the molecular test is negative, these persons remain in a state of self-restraint for a period which expires in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 2.2 (ii), 2.2 (iii) and 2.2 (iv) of the Infectious Diseases (Definition of Measures to Prevent of the Spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19) Decree (No. 25) of 2020 ..

According to the decree, "the resumption of the activity of coastal passenger vessels, including small passenger vessels, recreational fishing vessels and divers, is allowed, provided that the safety and health guidelines issued by the Ministry of Shipping are complied with."

The reopening of water sports companies (speedboats of category B) is also allowed, provided that the safety and health guidelines issued by the Ministry of Shipping are complied with.

It is stated that up to 10 persons, including minors, or up to the maximum number of passengers, according to the registration permit, are allowed to board such speedboats in category B αν if they are smaller;

For Jet ski category B, added, rental for use by up to two people is allowed.

At the same time, it is not allowed to be driven by an employee of the company together with the customer as a passenger.

Private yachts are also allowed to operate under certain conditions.

In particular, on category A speedboat registration vessels, "passengers shall not exceed 10 persons or the number permitted by the registration certificate of the vessel if it is lower, including minor children".

Additionally for yachts where the legislation does not require them to have a registration certificate and meet the Basic Requirements (Pleasure Boats and Individual Boats) of minor children ». ∙

In yachts that are not required by law to have a registration certificate and do not meet the Basic Requirements (Pleasure Boats and Individual Boats) Regulations of 2017, passengers do not exceed 10, including minor children, it is added.

In Jet ski, it is stated, the maximum number of passengers does not exceed the number allowed by the license.

The decree also states that it is allowed from 06.00 a.m. of 3 June 2020, the reopening of horse racing meetings without spectators.
